FULL DAY SUMMER CAMP

Kids aged 5.5 to 10 years

KIND Adventure Camp

Join Roots on our beautiful new campus in Cape Elizabeth this summer for KIND Adventure Camp. KIND programming aims to get Kids In Nature Daily while also supporting their inherent need to explore, experiment, and find connection with both peers and place.

In the spirit of Roots, our program will offer a balance between ample time to drop in, play and explore surrounding land preserves, trails, and beaches and structured experiential activities designed to introduce campers to caring for and cultivating the land, themselves, and each other.

Kind Adventure Camp was created with rising 1st graders to 11yo in mind and will meet Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Each session will include at least one day off campus to a unique outdoor location connected to our play + learning during that week. Some locations may include: Two Lights State Park, Crescent Beach, and area Land Preserves.

Our Daily Rhythm

A consistent Rhythm allows children to feel grounded and ready to access all of the available activities at camp, while still leaving ample time and space to follow the lead of the child or for spontaneous activities and exploration. No two weeks of camp are the same!

Morning Gathering | An opportunity to greet friends, share, participate in song, and review safety procedures and discuss boundaries for the day.

SPECIALTY CAMP - ART

Children Ages 7 to 11 Years old

This Summer, in addition to 5 weeks of Adventure Camp focused on outdoor exploration and adventures into the surrounding community, we are offering a micro camp (6 students max) focused on Art + Creation. Led by Roots Upper Elementary Educator, Hannah Carr, these two weeks of camp will give children a chance to dive in, get messy, and really immerse themselves in the process of creating.

In typical Roots fashion, Artists will spend lots of time outdoors, using natural materials, and find their way to surrounding locations for artistic inspiration!
