 Educator Institute

At Roots we believe that big change comes in little packages. As we have continued to grow, we have prioritized not just moving upward but outward too - spreadings roots deep into our surrounding community. We believe in the power of involving people from all parts of our community in small but profound ways. It is this cross pollination of ideas, interests and passions that has led us to develop our community programming. Currently, our community programs are three pronged: the Educator Institute at Roots, Career Speaker Series and Community Building Events and Classes.

The Educator Institute at Roots is specifically tailored to support early childhood educators, spanning from Pre-K through 4th grade.

The program is designed to help educators prioritize their passion, connect children to themselves, their communities, and their environment, and incorporate moments of connection and play throughout the day.

The institute offers a comprehensive framework that empowers educators to bring their authentic selves into the classroom, creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to do the same. Through this approach, educators are equipped to foster holistic development in their students, cultivating a sense of belonging, curiosity, and joy in learning.

Continuing Education opportunities are offered in shorter (1.5 to 2 hour long) segments, and in a comprehensive, play-filled, multi day “Educator Summer Camp” format.
