Our Beliefs:
When we allow each child to explore their unique interests and figure out “what makes them tick” we are laying the foundation for a life well lived in the pursuit of happiness, purpose, and adventure.
In addition to meeting grade appropriate academic standards, our curriculum focuses on exploring five core themes:
Kindness
Compassion
Self Awareness (Physical + Emotional)
The Beauty of Being an Individual
Connection / Being part of a Larger Whole (the natural world, different cultures, a class, etc.)
We utilize a self directed project based learning approach drawing from the principles of Reggio Emilia and Montessori in conjunction with the intentional use of technology to maximize the educational experience of each Learner.
Roots Academy offers a place-based, child-led, play-inspired approach to 21st Century Education.
