Red Cross Babysitting Course
Red Cross Babysitting Course:
The American Red Cross Babysitting Certification Course with Wild Maine Med is a dynamic, hands-on training designed to prepare young caregivers to provide confident, capable, and compassionate care. This course takes a comprehensive– whole-child, whole-caregiver– approach, exploring what it truly means to be a trusted babysitter. From building strong relationships with parents to understanding developmental stages and creating age-appropriate activities, participants will leave ready to step into any home with maturity and enthusiasm. Because the best babysitters are also prepared for the unexpected, this course includes practical, hands-on first aid and emergency response training tailored to the real situations young caregivers may face. Through interactive scenarios, skill-building stations, and realistic problem-solving challenges, participants practice navigating the everyday realities of babysitting–from bedtime routines and sibling dynamics to unexpected curveballs. Participants will leave not only certified but fully prepared, confident, and capable of providing thoughtful, competent, and reliable care.
