Let's Play with Literacy!
Hi-ya friends!
We are very excited to share this month’s Let’s Play with Literacy resource. It is inspired by a day near and dear to our hearts- Earth Day! Being in nature is an integral part of our curriculum at Roots- celebrating the Earth and all of its beauties is a daily practice for our students! We realize that not everyone shares the same passion for the outdoors or the awareness of THEIR role in the conservation of our big beautiful planet. And that's OKAY- but we are here to encourage our community and anyone beyond that they too can take steps (BIG or small) towards keeping our planet healthy + happy. It all starts with a little knowledge followed by action! Sustainability and conservation are such relevant and pressing topics to discuss with your little(s)... we hope this play inspired resource will help the conversation along!
This month’s read is Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth, by: Oliver Jeffers. A heartwarming and humorous tale of life on Earth. We hope you and your little(s) enjoy :)
Wishing all of you a very adventurous Earth Day! Don’t forget to get out there + PLAY!!
